The article is a report from the final stages of the artistic research project Movement Material and articulates an overview of the project through the lens of a term that came to be a key term in the project: suspension. The article describes the problems from which the research questions emerged, the theoretical underpinnings of those questions, the practical research proceedings, and some of the documentation that the practical research produced.
