The significant achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative over the past five years reflect its wide recognition and acceptance by countries along its route, but it has also encountered some difficulties in cooperation with some countries, regions, and projects. The reasons for this are complex, but one of the most important is the fact that the countries concerned have not yet adopted the common values of the Belt and Road Initiative, causing the lack of a lasting and effective basis of power for the initiative’s cooperation and development. In light of this, the countries along the route need to work together to build the value of the Belt and Road Initiative. This value does not need to be reinvented, and we need to seek and extract the lowest common denominator of value from the diversity of the cultures and civilizations in the different countries and nations along the route, guiding and making a cohesive force of the practices of the Belt and Road Initiative, generating centripetal force for cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative. Only then will cooperation in the Belt and Road Initiative be sustainable and its practices deepen effectively.
