For about 10 years, I have served as the editor-in-chief of the internationally oriented Nordic Journal of Commercial Law (NJCL). I took over the editorial responsibilities from the University of Turku, and the journal was highlighted in several Nordic bibliometric indicators as a prioritized journal.
NJCL was the only English-language, Nordic-based journal focusing on commercial law, and offering double-blind peer review and true diamond open access (no fees for readers or authors). Thanks to the generous support of Dreyers Fond, we have been able to publish a significant number of articles that continue to be downloaded by thousands of users worldwide via njcl.dk, DOAJ, and HeinOnline.
It is therefore with a touch of melancholy that I have decided to close the journal as of January 1, 2025. The articles already published will remain freely accessible online at www.njcl.dk, as they always have been.
A huge thank you to all of you who have contributed as volunteer peer reviewers, sparring partners, and authors. Without you, there would not have been a journal!
