This article aims to investigate the didactic potential of corpus linguistics. Corpus linguistics is practice-oriented, and it may therefore be meaningfully integrated into the subject of German at the Danish “gymnasium” (upper secondary school). Based on the analysis of four lessons of corpus-based teaching, it can be concluded that the application of corpus linguistics has advantages as well as disadvantages. On the one hand, corpus linguistics potentially contributes to methodologically well-reflected work with written German; on the other hand, it is relatively time-consuming.
