Author Biographies

Hanchu Sun, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands

Hanchu Sun is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology. His research focuses on exploring design interventions that aim to prevent consumers from becoming satiated or bored with their consumer electronics throughout the ownership period, thereby fostering prolonged product usage and mitigating premature obsolescence.

Ruth Mugge, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands

Ruth Mugge is a Full Professor in Design for Sustainable Consumer Behavior at the department Product Innovation Management of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, TUDelft. After finishing her Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering, she completed a PhD project on the topic of product attachment. Her current research focuses on investigating consumers' acceptance of sustainable products and services.
