Abstract

Business model literature has been focused on value co-creation and co-capture logic in understanding business models in the ecosystem. To understand the “Ex Ante” source of ecosystem-based value creation/capture, this paper proposes opportunity complementarity as a key antecedent and construct for the ecosystem-based value creation and capture in data-driven business ecosystems.
