Radical resource efficiency is a design and engineering approach for dramatically increasing manufacturing efficiencies. A case study of a restaurant reveals that RRE can be a source of business model innovation, due to the interconnected activity choices it makes explicit. RRE supports formulation of a competitive strategy that promotes sustainability.
