About the Journal

”Danish Journal of Transportation Research - Dansk Tidskrift for Transportforskning”

”Danish Journal of Transportation Research - Dansk Tidskrift for Transportforskning” is an open access,  peer-reviewed journal, which is published by the Traffic Research Group at the Department of Build Environment, Aalborg University.

The Journal encourages everyone to submit articles within the Journal’s scientific area. The Journal emerged from the conference Trafikdage at Aalborg University. Authors of articles published in “Proceedings from the Annual Transport Conference at Aalborg University” are offered to submit and publish  their articles in the peer-reviewed ”Danish Journal of Transportation Research - Dansk Tidskrift for Transportforskning”.

Focus and Scientific area

“Danish Journal of Transportation Research – Dansk Tidsskrift for Transportforskning” is a peer-reviewed online academic Journal that publishes research within the fields of transport, including such areas as mobility, traffic safety, goods, logistics and others. DJTR is the only academic Journal of transport research in Scandinavia. The language of the Journal is Danish or English.

Peer-Reviewing Process

  • Every article is reviewed by a minimum of two peer-reviewers
  • The peers must be qualified within the area, and at least one should be independent from the Author’s research institute, and none should be directly related to the Author (e.g. Co-Supervisor to the Ph.D. Student)
  • The Authors are allowed to suggest peers-reviewers
  • Editorial members cannot be editor for articles from their own research group
  • The peer-reviewers are anonymous to the Author and to each other, but the Author is not anonymous to the peers
  • The Chief editor and editor of the certain article knows the peers and their reviews
  • The Editor, based on the reviews, decides if the article should be published and phrases the determination
  • The article’s Author(s) and peer-reviewers are informed of the final result of the review process

Publication Frequency

The Journal is published once per year. Articles submission are accepted though the year with no submission deadline. This means that articles are assigned a DOI as soon as they are accepted and the Author/authors get a permanent reference to the article.

Open Access Policy

The Journal is operated by Diamond Open Access. This means that articles are freely accessible to all and the Author should not pay any fee.
