In Denmark, a new registre of planning data (plandata.dk) has been created in 2018. All Danish municipalities are obliged to registre plans (.pdf) and data about the content of the plan in a national database. All rulings about usage and extent of the buildings are to be registrated in the database. It is the national taxation assessment of values of properties that has pushed forward the development.
The new registration means new posibilities but also creates issues that needs to be adressed. Especially the fact that plans are not "accurate, ground truth" data, but are data that reflects both a regulation but also a plan for the future. This implies both the fact, that rulings may be just illustrative and also that the realisation of the plans may change the outcome of the plan.
The paper is part of a presentation given at Kortdage in 2018.
