Data strategy of Svendborg Municipality

Abstract

Can we keep up with data demand if we do not organize ourselves differently? The answer in Svendborg Municipality has been: No! Therefore, we are now changing our data-focus in a new data strategy 2.0.

We are experiencing an increasing need for data, effect measurement and interdisciplinary data, and therefore there is also an increasing need for data management if we are to continue to keep up with the need from the administration´´  s needs. It is necessary to focus on several areas: Roles, interdisciplinary and valid analyzes as well as organization. These focus areas are solved on the basis of some concrete initiatives, but  the efforts also have to involve competence development and data maturity.
