Abstract | Abstract

Kim Toft Hansen Criminal man, eller Lombroso revisited med undertitlen "Wittgensteins og Philip Kerrs filosofiske undersøgelser" – (Criminal man or Lombroso revisited Wittgenstein's and Philip Kerr's philosophical investigations). The article describes how flesh as a physiognomic distinctive mark for criminals is not just part of the now discredited degeneration theory, but that the theory has been reborn in genetics, at least in Philip Kerr's science fiction-like crime novel, which takes place in the near future. In the analysis of the novel A Philosophical Investigation from 1992 it is demonstrated that biological determinism is criticized, and at the same time Wittgenstein's early and late philosophy are connected in a common dialectics.
