Thessa Jensens Oplevelsesøkonomi uden kød på? (Experience economy without any flesh?). This article describes some problems that arise in connection with the widespread use of project-based grants for the development of peripheral areas. The development of these areas is often done by so-called fiery souls, i.e. people who are willing to use their labour, time and money to develop something new. This effort is often shown in the form of experience economy. With Sønderholm dairy farm as a case the article describes how farming is caught between two systems: a disciplinary one of surveillance, in which governmental and EU support and sanctions control production, and the other system is experience economy with innovative storytelling. Participation in projects with consultants may prove to be a pitfall for the involved. The article also describes a positive case with the independently developed "The Green Van" in Lønstrup.
